The Princely Girl team is ecstatic to share what we’ve been working on the past few months! We thank you for patiently waiting for updates on the game and your continued support as we continue development! 

New Faces, New Choices:

The demo of Phantom of the Black Rose Revue only scratches the surface of the story we want to tell! We have more supporting characters that are waiting in the wings for their introduction, and we hope that you’ll love them as much as we do! With the addition of these characters, the Black Rose Revue will shine with even more vibrancy than before! 

These new side characters, as well as the cast we have now, will also be essential to one of our new features: side quests! The Revue hides many secrets, and if you wish, Chihiro can work towards bringing them to light. Routinely speaking to the other inhabitants of the Revue will prove most useful, as well as honoring their requests. 

In order to investigate the Revue, Chihiro can now freely explore the theater! 

We will also be adding more branching dialogue choices for Chihiro! While our demo was linear with different dialogue choices, the full game will feature larger choices that will change the way the story progresses. What fate will you weave for young Chihiro with these expanded choices?

The Rise of a Rhythm Diva:

In addition to these changes, another surprise is in store: the inclusion of a rhythm game! Step directly into Chihiro’s shoes as she performs, from rehearsal to stage! Level up Chihiro’s skills and reputation within the Revue by completing these rhythm games! Can you become the top star of the Black Rose Revue? 

But be careful: performing comes at the cost of Chihiro’s energy. Will you balance her time spent on stage with interacting with her companions? Or will you choose to focus more on one than the other? 

A Story Across Languages:

A few months ago, we announced the Japanese translation was in the works! We’re happy to say that this translation is approaching its debut! Another devlog will be posted with its details, both in English and Japanese! Please look forward to it!
